It was like coming home to Indian Rock. Not only did I get to meet a grown up Lizzie, it was great getting to visit with some of the McKettricks again. I wish there would have been more involvement from the rest of the family. Since this was supposed to be a family-holiday-oriented love story, it would have been nice to have more in the way of the rest of the clan. I did feel cheated somewhat in the romance department. Usually, Linda Lael Miller writes with fire and sizzle (just think of any of the other McKettrick stories) and this one didn't come quite to the usual standard. It was a great rainy day read and overall, I really enjoyed it.
