It was like coming home to Indian Rock. Not only did I get to meet a grown up Lizzie, it was great getting to visit with some of the McKettricks again. I wish there would have been more involvement from the rest of the family. Since this was supposed to be a family-holiday-oriented love story, it would have been nice to have more in the way of the rest of the clan. I did feel cheated somewhat in the romance department. Usually, Linda Lael Miller writes with fire and sizzle (just think of any of the other McKettrick stories) and this one didn't come quite to the usual standard. It was a great rainy day read and overall, I really enjoyed it.

Boring Reunion!

This book was a slow read and disappointing for a Linda Lael book. Half of the plot takes place on a stranded train. It was too boring. Rescue them and move into Indian Rock and let the plot develop. It felt like a book quiclky written just in time for Christmas. Mistle...

    Wonderful Read

Just finished A Stone Creek Christmas. Absolutely loved it. So much humor and warmth, from Rodney the Reindeer to the sweetness and very unique gifts of Olivia, to bittersweet longing and the tough cookie that is Tanner. A daughter needs a father, this father needs his daughter, but he's fighting his feelings and his fears. Can Olivia who is used to performing rescues use her many special qualities to heal a family, and maybe gain one of her own? I laughed, I smiled, I nearly cried. This book has a great range and is a heartwarming holiday tale in addition to a sweet romance. The assortment of animals and quirky tint of magic on this one makes it one of my favorite holiday reads so far.
