    The BEST

The best vegetarian cookbook I have ever laid my hands on for many reasons: (a) nice writing style, (b) best table of contents ever with every single recipe listed under the chapter, (c) all recipes yield 1 or 2 servings, (d) no crazy exotic ingredients, (e) not an over abundance of tofu based recipes, (f) healthy recipes, not lots of can dumping. and the best part is, even though the recipes yield 1 or 2 servings, your not left with like half an onion or half a can of beans, somehow you use 'whole' ingredients. you will not be disappointed with this book.

    Perfect for Couples

My husband and I recently decided to go veg. All of the cookbooks I found had recipes that served 4-6 people, too much for us, even with leftovers. I found this and it's perfect. If the recipe serves 1, I just double it but I never have too much.

    Students Vegetarian Cookbook

This book is designed for one or two servings which makes it wonderful. There's plenty here for vegans too. This is such a great book I had to buy a second copy for my mother.

Best Book on Easy Veg. Dishes I've Ever Read!

First, it's so loaded with easy- and quick-to-make recipes that I wish it had existed in late 1960's when I went to Carleton College in Minnesota. Second, there are more recipes in the revised standard version, but the 1st ed. is excellent if you can't get the new one. Third, each step in cooking is clearly yet comprehensively explained. Fourth, the text just gently encouraged me toward more healthful eating. It's like having my own Mother around looking out for the food I eat.

    A must have!

This book is fantastic! All the recipes are easy and delicious, relying on cheap, fresh, and wholesome foods. Raymond's food is easy enough for even a kitchen klutz to prepare, yet interesting enough to keep a confirmed chef and foodie like me coming back for more. I got The Student's Veggie Cookbook as a sophomore in college, and it's been a staple of my kitchen ever since.

    more from this reviewer

The best Vegetarian cookbook I've seen so far!

The recipes are very delicious, quick and easy to make. I've actually heard of all the ingredients and can easily purchase them. Even the meat-eaters in the family love these recipes! They have become staples in my diet. Also, there are many vegan recipes as well.

    Students Vegetarian Cookbook

No college student who uses the recipes in this book will need to worry about the 'freshman 15.' I found so many good recipes and tips in this book that I would recommend it to vegetarians, vegans, and anybody who likes healthy food.
