Stuff That Makes a Gay Heart Weep is an entertaining and quick read, the kind of book I could picture myself gifting to gay friends and the hags who love them. Touching on such important topics as bad drag, Sarah Palin, Crocs, broken gaydar, instant coffee, tacky home decor, bad tippers, ugly tramp stamps, potlucks, ugly Christmas sweater parties, and closeted cartoon characters, just to name a few, Freeman Hall breaks down the many reasons why each topic is tragic enough to make anyone's rainbow-colored heart weep. Reading through the pop culture sprinkled references made me laugh, cringe, and even let out the occasional 'oh, girl!' and 'halleloo!'Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. My one criticism of the book was that I wanted it to go further - raunchier, more shocking, more cattiness - it was just a little too fluffy and nice for my tastes. Even the structure and language of each topic had a lot of repetition. With so many different topics covered, it got a little taxing to read so many topics with similar wording. I found the writing because stale quickly, and that made my queer heart weep.
