SPOILER REVIEW if you haven't read this one yet
My vote is still out on this one since I have yet to read the second book. A lot of repeating who and what characters are. I think the plot would've been a lot better if it stuck to the action. I would've loved to know at lease who the informer was by the end of the book. I did however find that the constant detail on her surroundings made it easy to depict where and when the book took place. I have been to Aruba, therefore I enjoyed that bit (I was hoping she would mention the iguanas that highly habitat that island), especially since I did have a huge crush on a local named Martin who worked at the Tommy Hilfiger store. Eh, he was cute and I was eighteen... so it worked into an old fantasy. Despite a lot of reviews I have read, I think Lily is a perfect demon and the representation of Satan is refreshing. All in all, I didn't mind the name dropping and the constant adoration of spending money, after thousands of years alive what else is there?? I enjoyed the scenery but would've enjoyed the book a bit more if it had focused on the mystery and action. More action, less stating the obvious three times over. I won't condemn a book that comes in a series if I haven't read it in it's entirety. I'm not the type of person who always believes that results are to be in the here an now. If the end is good, the wait and fustration will be well worth it. Curiosity will get the better of me.

a must read
I must say that this book was great. If you are a shopper then this book is also for you. It has some really great brand names mentioned in the book. I was hoping that she would come out with another book because I felt that this book was not done. I was so happy to see that I got the answer to my question in November of this year. I am reading the book Succubus Takes Manhattan and so far it is really good. When I am finished with this one i will be writing another review. Just dont forget you have to read this book before you read Succubus takes Manhattan or you will be lost.

A reviewer
Succubus in the city is part mystery which is never solved, part romance which is never resolved and part porn, which is barely even pedestrian. An easy read, as the writing is fine, but a complete waste of time and money. I see no option for giving it *no* stars, rather than one, or I would do so.
