    This was okay...

Overall, this book was ok but not great. I am a huge SPN fan, so I was excited to read about what the guys did in their year apart. This book gave great incite about Dean's demons and how Lisa and Ben helped him through it. But I do not really believe Dean would ever take Lisa and Ben on a haunt, even if he did not really believe they would be in any danger. I think he would have made up some excuse and left them safe at home, then go back afterwards. Or, not attempted the haunt at all. Chuck said at the end that since Dean had made his promise to Sam, he would not try to kill himself or bring his brother back. I thought the story was good and Soulless Sam was creepily hot, it just felt wrong to me reading this about Dean bringing Lisa and Ben with him on a haunt. I really don't think he would ever do that.

I'm so glad to have finished this book. I almost didn't buy it b

I'm so glad to have finished this book. I almost didn't buy it because I was afraid of crossing over into fangirl territory, but I caved! Now I'd give it four stars, but about halfway through the book typos started popping up in almost every chapter. Just a few mistakes like using "where" when it should have been "were" and leaving words out of sentences. A small offense, but given the sheer number of times it happened (and in such a small book too) I'm afraid my final rating will have to be three stars. This is a strike against the editing, not the content and flow of book itself. I still recommend this book to any curious fan of Supernatural. However, if one is looking for a detailed account of Dean's year without Sam, look elsewhere. This book only covers the beginning when Dean was still having trouble letting go and no one really knew that Sam was soulless.

    Final verdict:
    Highly recommend.
    Pros:
Good book. Just like the tv show, only much longer than 40 minutes, haha.
    Cons:
A lot of typos, but they are simple ones that shouldn't bother anyone with a high school diploma.

    Note: I bought the ebook.
