    I Cant Wait!

i luv these books! first i would like to say kate brian is not the authors real name. its kieran scott. i found out looking up suspicion. two- i think taylor pushed her off. u may think thats dumb but ive got reasoning. she blond and its the last person youll ever think of. maybe she liked upton and sawyer or she liked upton, reed took him so she liked sawyer but sawyer gave her the necklace. i dont think its sawyer i like him and poppy is too obvious. i want josh and reed to get back together cus i dont really like ivy for sum reason. alot of reviewers are going around saying that upton had an affair with mrs ryan. ew gross but that probably could be true with all of the twists. u no every 4 books is like a section so the next book would probably be about reed trying to find her killer. the fourth book would be the resolution or sum ppl are saying that there are only two books left which i hope not! srry to talk my head off but im really a big fan!

    1 hour later:

okay new theory. maybe it was daniel. they did say there was a musky smell and he could have been getting back at reed for his sister or for ariana which was his ex-girlfriend, now somewhat an ex-convict in a new a-list school. sorry i read privilege too

    1 minute later:

okay maybe its mrs ryan. i mean its not hard to guess. she hates reed and what happened just a few minutes earlier (not going to type) really got that woman mad. whoo!

    30 seconds later:

okay i have a strong feeling towards daniel. the bird seed probably killed the bird with poison...probably from the poisonous trees! oh new discovery!

    Two minutes later:

okay i really think its daniel. you know daniel is in love with poppy and would kill for her. so daniel is violent too. so my final answer is daniel ryan. I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

1 hour and 30 minutes later:

It was definitely Taylor scratch out daniel. Taylor's blond. shes jealous from the upton game. she was so obsessed she stalked reed. she saw sawyer give reed the necklace. she was sweating at the party on the boat. she took what she knew from ariana and pushed reed off. daniel was auburn. so i now go wit Taylor Bell. I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

    Reviewed by Jaglvr for TeensReadToo.com

Believe it or not, SUSPICION is the tenth novel in Kate Brian's PRIVATE series. And SUSPICION picks up where PARADISE LOST ended. The girls are still holidaying on St. Barths.

The story begins with Reed stranded in the water. She's positive someone purposely pushed her off the Ryans' boat with the hopes that Reed would drown. Reed rips off her dress as it was dragging her down. She tries to remain calm in the water, but freaks out when something floats over her feet. Just when she's about to go under the final time, she is rescued. With such a heart-pounding start to the novel, the tension never lets up until the end of the book.

Poor Reed can't seem to catch a break. How many people are going to try to kill her? After her rescue, she's visited by island cops at the hospital, but neither wants to believe that she was intentionally pushed. Even her friends are doubtful that someone they know on the boat would want Reed dead. All Reed wants to do is go home to Croton. But Noelle convinces Reed to stay one more day so she doesn't have to fly commercial. Mrs. Lange is currently using their private jet, but will be back on the island in a day. Reed agrees, but she may soon regret that decision.

Reed spends her remaining time quietly with Noelle and Upton. She doesn't want to do much else, but then Kiran decides that a New Year's Eve party is in order, and that Sawyer should be celebrated as the hero he was for rescuing Reed out of the water. Reed agrees Sawyer should be the center of attention and the party is held on a private island.

Upton and Reed have their own private plans for after the party. Upton leaves early and charters a private boat to bring Reed back to the main island once he's ready. But as is now typical with Reed, the employees on the boat aren't what they seem and have kidnapping plans in mind.

The reader will definitely feel sorry for all the misfortunes that befall Reed Brennan. Her friends don't want to really believe that someone they've grown up with could be behind all the "accidents" that Reed has experienced on her winter break on St. Barths. But there are far too many of them occurring.

Pick up SUSPICION to find out how Reed manages to survive even more hardships. The book ends with another bang as is expected from Ms. Brian. It will leave you anxious for SCANDAL, which isn't due out until March 2010!

suspicion and beautiful disaster cover similarities?!

has anyone else noticed that on the "Beautiful Disaster" and "Suspicion" covers, that the center girl on "suspicion" and, well, the cover girl on beautiful disaster are wearing the same bracelet?! could it be...?! i cannot wait for suspicion. I've already read the 2 teasers (one is posted on kate/kieran's myspace, the other on simon&schuster), and have preordered it! Since it's already available on BN.com (so I've heard...), hopefully it'll be shipped out soon!

    I wonder who it is...

I think its someone you will never expect. Someone who seems like a good person. So i think it is Sawyer. Think about it, he has no albi (he was at the casino party however so was everyone else other people suspect). He might have a motive... I believe his sister's death has to do with reed. This is a little out there but i think Melissa -the girl ariana killed because she was in ariana and thomas's way- was sawyers sister. Ok its a crazy theory but it could be what happened!
PS i love kirean scott aka kate brian and her writing!!!!

    Theory

I don't think Taylor did it. She doesn't have the guts. Number one on my list is Mrs. Ryan. Then Daniel. The whole Ryan family has anger manegement issues. Mrs Ryan because she is having a secret affair with Upton, and Daniel because of the Ariana fiasco. When Reed's jetski crashed, the last person who touched it was probably Daniel because it was his, and he had one to spare so he tampred with it before Reed rode it.

    Kate Brian is a genius

Ok, so i have yet to read suspicion but i've read the first two chapters from the features tab. I think that sawyer and reed should be together and not upton cuz upton left her and that's why reed got pushed...this is the only series that has had not four, not eight, but TEN books in the series with a prequel!!! and it doesn't lag on and on, it's still interesting!!! Paradise lost had me over the edge and i can't wait to get my hands on suspicion!!!

    LOVED IT!!!!!

I loved SUSPICION!!!! it was so dramatic and witty. I CANNOT wait for the next one to come out. i hate waiting so long for the books, but its completely worth it. i have been reading the series since it first came out and i am completely hooked. the only problem is i HATE the web show and i feel as if its ruining the books. the actors are so wrong for the characters and its just horrible. Also the book was really short and MARCH IS SOO FAR AWAY!!!

    Mysterious CAN'T WAIT!

I think that people are going ot think that someone tried to kill reed out of jelousy becasue of Upton. I think that it was Poppy or one of the other girls who were ealous and had threatened reed. I don't know who saved Reed but im guessing it was Sawyer or Josh who ight have come back to see her. I can't wait and if u go to Kate Brian's myspace you can get the first chapter of suspicion!!!

    A page turner...must read!

At first when i saw all these reviews i was hesitate to pick up this book...but boy was i wrong! IT WAS AMAZING! I read this all in a couple hours this one was really very good! You feel very bad for Reed in this book because she has someone who is trying to kill her...at first you think it's Poppy and/or her friends but it really is no one I expected! Lots of dangerous stuff happened to Reed! I don't really like Upton though and I don't think Reed should trust him...and I miss Josh because he is barley in this book but at the end they return to Easton to find something VERY shocking has happened...

    not my favorite book

i absolutely love this series but this book really disappointed me. it was sooo boring! one of my pet peeves that writers do is when characters talk to themselves and reed does this when shes stuck on the stupid island! there were so many charcaters it was hard to keep up and i found myself just skipping pages that werent necessary. this book was so far my least favorite and kate brians writing was not the best. sorry but i give this book a thumbs down.

Love the series, the book not so much

I have always been a big fan of the private series by Kate Brian. Its very entertaining and suspenseful, and I love the writing. But these last two books I was disappointed. I agree with other people when they say they were filler books. I found them to be a bit unrealistic, and I was not a fan of her relationship with Upton. I know the reason for not liking these last two books was because they were not set at Easton, and because Josh was barely in it. I know I will like the next books much better because they are finally back at Easton, where they belong. I hope though that there's a new, original and realistic mystery, and not the same old someone's after reed because she stole their boyfriend. I will always love the private series but I feel that we could have done without the last two books. I also would love to see Reed and Josh together in the end, because they were always meant to be together.

Least favorite of the Private series

Suspicion begins where Paradise Lost ended. Reed is mysteriously pushed off a yacht during a party and is treading water. She's eventually rescued by Sawyer and later taken to the hospital for observation. Terrified that someone tried to kill her, she immediately decides to go home. However, Noelle talks her into staying for the remainder of their vacation. During this time, Reed's life is threatened again, she learns the secret that Upton has been keeping and the reader learns the identity of the person who wants Reed out of the picture.

I have to say this edition to the Private series was my least favorite. I thought it was mostly "a filler" book and found myself struggling to stay focused while reading. The saving grace was the last chapter when Reed and her friends returned to Easton Academy from winter break. The unexpected has happened to their beloved Billings House. Most importantly, there's a new student starting at Easton. Which will make for quite an interesting semester for Reed. Scandal, book eleven will be released on March 9, 2010.

    Suspicion

This book was as good as all the other Private books, but I felt that it was just a book to kind of fill up space. I thought it didn't have much sustance to it, and Bian could have just combined it with the next book. It was good, and DEFINITLY needs to be read if one is going to start the series. But as a book, by itself it wasn't that great.

    SUSPICION - Private Series 10

I have loved the Private novels from day one, no matter how ridiculous and dramatic they've been. No matter how STUPID Reed's choices have been, or how annoying all the stuff that happens to her is. I have always loved them. There's just something about them that keeps me reading. However, Reed being stranded on an island for a week is a bit much... Of course all that did was deepen her back luck, like. I loved Suspicion. Of course I did! I just did not think the island part was needed...
I can't wait for Scandal though....
