Only for the most basic of wills
This kit is set up to follow a basic format for wills based on a lot of assumptions and does not allow you to deviate much from it. For instance, if you are married, it automatically lists your spouse as your executor. Although you may list an alternate executor if your spouse is unable to perform the duties of an executor, you cannot name anyone else other than your spouse as the primary executor. If the program allows you to, it is not readily apparent. Also, the program provides for different ways to divide your estate (by percentages, by equal shares, etc.) but it does not allow you to make a bequest of a specified amount, e.g. $10,000 to so and so. Because I wanted to name someone other than my spouse as the executor of my will and I wanted to make a monetary bequest to a charity and leave the remainder of my estate to my children, I got frustrated with the program and ended up buying another kit.
