An easy read and VERY helpful!
I purchased this for a college course on the Dark Romance period of late 19th early 20th century France. As with all Spark notes it was clearly organized and easy to find the proper information. I wouldn't use it to understand the entire book, rather as a guide along side to help find hidden deeper meanings and draw all of the ideas together. Proust's style is rather winding and I found that using this I was able to follow along easily. Also, when it came down to taking quizzes, my instructor thought I had a real grasp on Proust and consistently gave me excellent marks!
