    buy it!

Anyone who has watched Jay Leno's Jaywalking will know how important it is to buy this book. It is scary how little young adults know about our great country.

My granddaughters, ages 8 and 11, "critiqued" this boo

My granddaughters, ages 8 and 11, "critiqued" this book and others by Mrs. Gingrich for me, since I am a teacher.  They found this book to be their favorite. Why? well written with good use of poetry for young kids, wonderful illustrations, and the telling of an important story  was well accomplished.  They loved this book, and so did I! Congratulations to Callista Gingrrich and her illustrator!

My childrens' school library bought a copy and we checked it out

My childrens' school library bought a copy and we checked it out as a family to read and both of them loved it.  My daughter wants to buy it this weekend to own.  It's good for all ages of child, my daughter is 7 and my son is nearly 11.  It was written in easy, flowing rhyme that both children could understand.  It was even easy enough for my 7 year old to read on her own after I had read it to her a couple of times.  Definitely a great book for teaching children the history of America.  Highly recommend it for parents who homeschool or are concerned that valuable American history lessons like these are being bypassed in our public schools in favor of other topics.
