    Fun Read

I enjoyed this book - even though it showed some chauvinistic traits - I feel the male character also showed a warm side. Not being an avid reader - I enjoy this book to take me away from reality. They are fun and entertaining.

    Something Different from Catherine Coulter

I understand that 'The Aristocrat' was written in the early 1980s, which is a relief because otherwise, Brant Asher, with his macho ways, would seem very out of touch with reality. However, given when the book was written, his chauvanistic attitude is more acceptable. This form of contemporary romance is a strange change for Coulter. She usually writes historicals or contemporary suspenses, so I wasn't sure what to make of the book at first. Still, her trademark cast of amusing and interesting supporting characters are there, as are a hero and heroine who bicker and have lots of fun (and sex! --there was more sex than I was used to in a Coulter work). While I felt the story was a bit unresolved and had a rushed ending, I thought it was an amusing way to spend a day.
