    Great page turner!

The first couple pages made it a bit hard to get into the book, but after that I could not put the book down till the very end. I loved Jack Blarney and his fierce love

There are much better time-travel romances out there.
I could not get into this book. Priscilla was annoying and I did not like her character at all. The time-travel element was barely explored and therefore it wasn't a big part of the storyline, time-travel didn't even have to be involved if the author wasn't going to expand on it more. There's no real secondary conflict to keep the reader engaged, the only storyline is the battle of wills between Jake and Priscilla. If it wasn't for the character of Jake, this book would get zero stars from me. I was sorely disappointed with this book.

    Didnt think I would like..but I did.

I have never been one for the time travel romances but I gave this book a try. While I liked the characters and the story the female lead Priscilla irritated me by how quickly she adapated and began to speak and behave as though she belonged in 1880. I thought that the story lacked depth and I felt so much more could have been done with the story line.

What made up for this was the character of Jake. He was endearing, crude, funny and flawed. Had it not been for his character making the story exciting I would not have favorably recommended this book. The ending was abrupt so I feel a sequel is in the making but it was disappointing.

    Horrible heroine

I like Eugenia Riley's books. However this one was difficult to finish. I understand Priscilla had a tramatic childhood experience that prevents her from trusting Jake. But her constant resistance and reasoning to choose status over love made me hate her. I almost wish Jake rejected her and found another woman.
