A SHOCKING COLLECTION OF AMAZING TALES!

Many years ago I stopped reading so-called horror novels because I felt there was already more than enough real-life horror in the world. However, out of curiosity, I started reading Rick's collection of short stories and found myself once again appreciating the emotions that a well told SCARY tale can bring about. I'm talking adrenaline rush from the first page to the last! Reed's writing style is beautifully poetic - and while some of the storylines and scenes are too gruesome to even begin to describe - the combination of Reed's tales leaves a reader truly inspired to seek out all the good and beauty that life has to offer!

One of the most frightening horror collections I've ever come across

Reed has a way of making the mundane into the nightmarish. These stories run the gamut from really funny (a 'morbidly obese' vampire/a dowdy lesbian meeting up with a bombshell in an internet chatroom) to deeply disturbing (a closeted young gay man hopes to make a connection with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer/a woman finds a crime scene photo of a little girl's murder so unforgettable she relives the day the murder occurred). These are ten truly gripping, truly terrifying tales of mostly everyday horror. Highly recommended.
