Definitely Worth the Purchase Price!
As with all of Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming's works, this book presents thoroughly researched and well documented information. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
If you are like me, you will probably want to get right to the exercises (which don't come until much later in the book). However, don't skip the introductory chapters. They themselves are worth the purchase price of the book. If you have any of Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming's other materials on Taiji or Qigong you will not find anything new in these introductory chapters, but the summaries are so recherché that you will benefit from having read them.
This book does seem to be designed to be used with two DVDs that can be purchased separately. Although the book is worth purchasing stand-alone, if you are serious about wanting to integrate something new and quite effective into your Tai Chi or Qigong practices, I would definitely recommend purchasing the DVDs as well.
Living in a rural area, I do not have the benefit of access to instructors that teach Tai Chi Ball classes. For serious Tai Chi and/or Qigong practitioners, this book can be like manna from heaven.
