Spellbinding Opening to a new Series

Taken In is an intriguing blend of suspense, ghost story, and romance. Opening with an intense murder scene, Jane Toombs introduces the reader to witness Gail Sarandon. On the run, Gail relies on Jason Tregarth, a US Marshal who wants to place her in witness protection. Jason and Gail’s romance builds gradually while they hide from the killer. When they give in to their feelings, their passion is sweet and spicy. Throughout this story, the author meticulously develops secondary characters: Anita, Lisa, and Krystal whose presence at Dagon House can’t possibly be a coincidence. The additional subplot of the ghosts that reside at Dagon House only adds to the suspense. Well-developed characters, a nicely–paced romance, and the spooky paranormal aspect combine to create a spellbinding opening to new series that will leave you eagerly awaiting the next book.

I was provided a copy of the book by BTS eMag for purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review – all conclusions are my own responsibility.
