The Talisman
This book started out great, I loved the ancient Greece setting & the history about Maggie and the beginning of her time with the Daughters. It was so cool to just kind of jump out of the story for a few moments and learn some history behind the series. The book was really interesting, but I don't know if it was a lack of interest in the book or Ewing's imagination running wild to the point where I couldn't catch up but I had trouble getting through this towards the end. It might be that there are just so many books in the series that tend to blend together and drag on. Personally, in my opinion I think the series excellence would be better if instead of the 13 books it were cut down to large books and therefore less of them. However, it is what it is.

Like I said, I loved learning of the history of the Atrox and finally seeing Maggie (Penelope) in action and hearing of her own personal history.
These stories are perfect for younge adults. I am a 21 yr old re-reading the books because I read all the way up to 12 and just recently bought 13 so I decided to re-read all of them so I would know what was going on. At this point, I'm longing for a little more with them. They're very PG when it comes to the romance and action and sometimes the things Ewing is describing are hard to visualize and therefore hard to follow. The characters are very well developed however and easy to fall in love with and identify with. Great for young girls interested in just trying to get away in fiction and meet girls with similar, and not so similar, problems. -

The Talisman - One of the saddest in the series
Maggie knows that her time is slowly coming to an end since her promise in stopping the Atrox and helping/guiding the Daughters of the Moon. We are then shown Maggie's past life and of course the ending was sad.

awesome author
Lynn Ewing became one of my favorite authors like ::snaps fingers:: that. She is so talented! i have a little notebook that has a lot of phrases she has used in her books. i myself write short stories, but they are nothing, not even close, to what she writes. i can't wait to read the next in her series. This book was one of her best. i very much enjoyed reading about Penelope and her life in ancient Greece. i loved it a lot, considering i am a Greecian myself. i hope all of her books stay as fresh and funky as they are now.

Great, as awlays
Lynne Ewing quickly became one of my favorite authors shortly after I finished the first book. This one was excellent, yet again. SOILER!THEORY! My guess is Jimena, if you look at page two, but if not her my only other theory would be Catty's mom to replace Maggie.

Loved it
I loved this book, as I do all the others in the series, however I did not like it because it was about Maggie, and I personally like the Daughters Of the Moon more. However this was a very intresting book, it explains a lot about some of the things they mention in some of the other books.

O Mater Luna
This book was sad. Did Maggie have to die? She was awesome and I can't imagine any other person teaching the DOTM how to use their powers! It explains a lot knowing that Chryssipus was Chris! I wonder what DOTM the talisman will be given to... 6 STARS NOW!!!! :(

Inspirational
This Daughters of the Moon book is particularly about Maggie. When we first met her, she seemed like a closed person with many mysteries behind her youthful appearance. Not knowing much about her made us wonder where she came from and how she came to be what she is now. The Talisman expalins everything in an incredible way. When you come to realize it, Maggie's story sounds like it would be a little bit dull and boring, but this story is so fantastic and thrilling. You begin to wonder how Lynne Ewing makes such good book series.

One of Lynne's Best!
I would definately say that this is some of Lynne Ewing's best work. This book has a lot to do with the plot, and is definately one of the 3 most tear-jerking books in the series. (Daughters of the Moon 9: The Choice, was also a tear-jerker, along with Daughters of the Moon 11: The Prophecy.) Definately a good read!

This one was OK
This book was ok. I didn't like it as much as the other because the daughters were not mentioned really. It was all about Maggie. It was interesting but I prefer the other ones that mention Serena, Catty, Jimena, and Vanessa.

Best Book Series Ever
I loved this book. It was so cool to finally learn about Maggie. I'm 13 and it's so fun just to open one of these books and be able to pretend that your actually one of these girls. Nobody can say that only 13 and 14 year olds read because my sister is 19 and she has as much fun as I do reading them.

I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!!
I love the Daughters of the Moon series!! This is my favorite series that I have ever read, and I read alot!!! I can't wait for the next one to come out!! I love the characters and I'm really into Greek myths and Greek philosophy so the 10th book was pretty cool too. I must say though I do find Vanessa, Catty, Serena, Jimena, and Tianna more interesting than Maggie. Any way, I can't wait for the next book!!
