Highly recommended for child with speech issues

This is wonderful if your child has speech issues. This has helped when we have been unable to figure out what he wants. Hoping to get the school district interested.

To you who have written negative reviews, this app was not designed with you in mind! It is for folks with communication impairments, like some individuals wwith autism or deaf people. I went to a program showing specialized computer gadgets for such populations and this is head and shoulders over the alternatives like felt boards. You have no idea what the communication impaired, and their families, endure, in your arrogance.

    Not meant for a "toy"..

Even in the description it says this is an AAC device. Meant to be used for someone who has complications communicating to people in everyday life. This is a simple, free version of a much more complicated, expensive device. I think it's great they made this for those who may not need something quite as extravagant or can't afford something so expensive!!

I think some reviewers dont get the point of this app...

This isnt supposed to be a game. It is a communication assistance device for non verbal children.

    So excited to find this!

I am a special ed teacher with nonverbal students, and I cannot wait for school to start again to try this out with them! What a great low cost option vs. the expensive assistive devices.

Great for kids who are non verbal

This app is great for kids who are non verbal or have trouble communicating. The buttons are large and the icons are easy to decipher.

    Are you people serious??

Reviewing this app as boring or saying the it only says what you touch is as ridicukous as saying that you got wet in the shower. The app is doing exactly what it was designed to do! It is specifically for people with communication and speech issues. Read the app description rather than rabidly downloading every free thing online. As the mother of a 4 year old with cerebrak palsy, I am excited about this app. My only concern is how well the Nook can withstand 'tapping' by a person with motor difficulties.
