??

a nice place to get insight into the life of Scarlett after the war. BUT, this book needed some SERIOUS editing; it had incomplete sentences, sentences missing vital words and wrong words used.

    Wade?

Unless you read Gone with the Wind, you will have no idea who Wade is and how he is involved in the story. This book was interesting to read. Gave a good idea regarding how this young man may have survived being Scarlett's son.

Like other reviewers, I think editing should have been done but I was able to get through it without difficulty. If you know it is needful of editing, then just read it a bit closer.

    Couldn't quit reading!

Amazing writing from an amazing author. This book picked up right where Scarlet ended and the story was great. So glad to read a book that had a well planned plot for each character and did the love of Gone With the Wind and Scarlet justice. Also glad that someone didn't forget about Wade! ;)

    Good read

Gone With the Wind has been a favorite of mine since I was a teenager. I have read with interest all the sequel books that have come out. I really enjoyed reading Wade's story. I feel this author captured the feelings of an abandoned child quite well. Sadly, Wade's tragedy's closely followed his mothers. However, he managed to deal with them in a more honorable fashion. Was he able to do this because he had more resourcless available to him, land a better support system? While Wade's tragedy's were many, he did not have the major obstacles in his way that his mother faced, and he also had the benefit of a strong circle of loving support that Scarlett lacked. All in all this was a good sequel. I would love to see others detailing Scarlett's other two children Ella and Cat. Even though Scarlett wasn't the best mother, she did pass her stubborn will and steel backbone onto her children.
