Excellant Naval Warfare Series
I have found the Amanda Garrett sequence one of the better naval based series available. Mr. Cobb has built a great story line and character foundations for the Sea Fighter force and the rapidly evolving technology and military doctrine that we are witnessing even today. The latest in the series, Target Lock, is highly recommended. It is true that Harconan's 'pirate force' does not seriously threaten the Sea Fighters as a whole, but he does present a very real threat to certain individuals, especially Amanda Garrett. I imagine that some surprises await from Harconan for the Sea Fighters in the future operations in Indonesia. A very enjoyable series, but start with the first installment 'Choosers of the Slain' to get the full evolution of the Sea Fighters and Garrett.

Awesome! A great book for ANYONE - male or female!
This is an awesome book! The fourth in the Amanda Lee Garrett series. Fast paced, LOTS of action, interesting for anyone who likes naval stories with male female relationships thrown in. The main characters have both good and bad points, just like all of us. They aren't characters who are so out there that you say "Yeah right, someone could really do that on a regular basis."

There is a glossary that explains some of the weapons systems used so that anyone can follow along. You don't have to be retired navy to enjoy these books.
My ONLY complaint is that the publisher did not allow the author to continue the series. You KNOW that there is more to come and then - nothing. No more books. WHY? Murder Ink 's review says TARGET LOCK has " The best naval hero since Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan." How can you shut down an author with this and many other sterling reviews?
