Starting to get more into ebooks and audio books as I am traveling more for work. It allows authors that otherwise wouldn't see the light of day to get "published". This ebook is an example of why some shouldn't. This story was a waste of time, money, computer memory space and electricity. I am sure the author tried very hard to make it interesting but it fell short. A few of the plot moments were good but overall it wasn't worth it for me. It never held my interest very well to the point where I just didn't finish it before deleting it. I am sure there are others who may find it enjoyable but as a lifetime reader across may genres I was not one of them. I appreciate the effort he probably put into it but he needs to work on chracter developement a little more as well as how dialog flows. Seemed very stilted at times.

As another reviewer mentioned they were, I, too, am a voracious reader who reads all genres. Unlike said reviewer, however, I really enjoyed this little novella. I found the premise of the tale deliciously creepy, and having entered the tattooed world myself about five years ago, I found the ending perfectly delicious! I'd like to note that I am also an English teacher and creative writing teacher. I recognize the flaws in this piece, but I've seen enough "fledgling" writers to know that if the technical execution of a story doesn't impede the basics of the story-telling itself, you can still have a very clever, entertaining piece. Could this writer use a little polish in dialogue and perhaps character development? Certainly. Do tthose things keep this story from being a really fun tale? Absolutely not. This is a diamond in the rough for its particular genre and I'm wondering when someone is going to option the movie rights. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Should not be missed
This story was masterfully done. Very well-researched, this creepy and chilling tale gets right inside your head. The characters and plot were carefully developed and had me hooked, right up to the end. And as someone with several tats, I loved the way Cooley nailed the art of tattooing (especially the pain). I couldn't put this one down. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
