An Interesting Teller of Tales
For someone such as myself who just thought of Arthur Conan Doyle as the author of the original Sherlock Holmes stories this biography was a welcome read and an enjoyable page-turner. The biography was well-written. Every episode, and adventure of Sir Arthur's life, from his Arctic adventure to his business ventures, was well-researched. It is no wonder he was so proficient in pouring out all his tales. The biography shows how and why he lived his life the way he did.And it does more in presenting him as a man 'larger' than any of his creations, and maybe that's how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have wanted to be remembered. Was this review helpful?
