Hardly worth the money. Save your money on go on-line.
I bought this book because I was being harassed and threatend by an unreasonable landlord, thus, I needed a valuable resource to help me understand and protect my rights. This book is not it. While it is certainly better than nothing, for the most part it provides only a cursery overview of its subject matter, i.e., everything it covers can easily be found on the city of new york's housing authority web page. As to the more serious questions a tenant might have - especially, tenants on the lower end of the economic scale who can't afford excessive rents in the $2000.00 and more range - the book barely addresses those questions while mainly providing simple useless answers. If you're hoping this book could help you protect your rights and avoid having to hire an attorney, you might be taking a bigger risk than you think. Two-thumbs down! Was this review helpful?
