The nature and frequency of the horrific trials and tribulations
The nature and frequency of the horrific trials and tribulations this author experienced during the Rwandan genocide at the tender age of 14, are simply mind-boggling! What is even more amazing is the strength and courage she exhibited while facing and overcoming what I regard as some of the most extreme adversities one can imagine, and the hopefulness and positive outlook she has maintained on life following her miraculous survival. Was this review helpful? One of the most remarkable aspects of Consolee's book is the way she was able to harmonize her many unnatural experiences with positive reflections and teachings at the end of each chapter, the contents of which I find to be very uplifting and inspirational.
One could almost feel Consolee's strong, yet cheerful spirit resonating through the pages of her book. Her tremendous resolve has given me the courage to change my approach towards dealing with the effects of past or future trauma in my life, which can never compare to what she has faced and gracefully overcome in her life.
This book is a treasure and will provide relief for those who are struggling with issues in their lives. It is a must read for all ages!!
