    I Also Recommend:

    An exciting inspirational thriller/romance

This is the first book I have read by Laura Scott, and I found it quite enjoyable. It is short (224 pp) but fast moving, with danger lurking around every corner.

Army Lieutenant Max Forrester has come home on leave from Iraq, and is looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with his sister, Melissa. However, when he arrives, he discovers that Melissa is in the hospital ICU fighting for her life after a vicious beating by her boyfriend. Also with Melissa-essentially standing guard-in the ICU is her friend and social worker, Tara Carmichael.

When Max arrives in the ICU, Tara immediately fears that he is Melissa's boyfriend, but Max assures her that he is Melissa's brother, home on leave from Iraq. From that point on, Max and Tara join forces to try to find the man who has so viciously attacked Melissa. In the process of their search, Max and Tara also become victims of Melissa's attacker.

With minimal help from the police, Max and Tara finally succeed in identifying and locating Melissa's attacker and discover his twisted justification for his actions. Despite being bruised and battered, Max and Tara find that they are developing strong feelings of affection for each other, and the story ends with a happy conclusion.

I just finished this and recommend it to you
as a good read. it is a clean story no 4 letter expressions and I really connected with the charactes. At the end when Tara is kidnaped by
the stalker, Ms scott doesn't drag out the ending nor does she rush it to close the story. WELL DONE! I loved it!
