That Night on Thistle Lane by Carla Neggars is part of the Swift

That Night on Thistle Lane by Carla Neggars is part of the Swift River Valley series. Most of Carla’s books that I have read were a mystery. This one is more romance and family with a small amount of mystery. This book can be read alone although Dylan and Olivia from book one play a minor role in this story too. I adored Noah and Phoebe’s characters. Noah was a nerdy billionaire who fences and does karate. Phoebe was the town librarian which is partly why I wanted to read the book. I love a librarian as a lead character. Most of the romance is looks and kisses; no hot and steamy scenes. The masquerade ball was fun. The mystery is surrounding the man that is following Noah around

    Shadowcat

Name; Shadowcat|| Gender; female || Age; unknown estimated 20 moons|| Mate/crush; Firestripe. They have been together on and off for a while, yet mating has not crossed their minds yet || Personality; acts like a stone cold battle leader, but when no one is watching/ everyone is asleep, she is one of the few that relocate kits secretly to slightly warmer or cooler dens, and uses her time to pick the best smelling and comfiest ferns for them || History; all that is known is that her great great grandfather came from Shadowclan, but he never really belonged || Likes; kits, fish, catmint, water, ice, rabbits, snow, half moons, and civilized cats, like the leader || Dislikes; voles, fire, death, kits growing up ( They grow up so fast!) Shadowclan, twolegs, kitty pets, and spoiled rotten cats || I hope I can join a welcoming clan with plenty of kits. I would like to be a warrior, hunter, or be the twoleg 'deterrant'. Must have strong cat accompany me at all times, because I tend to get a little carried away. ~ Shadowcat or HALOAngels

    Stonefur

Name: Stonefur || Gender: Tom/Male || Age: 39 moons || Rank: Warrior || Description: Stone gray with pale blue eyes. || Mate: None || Kits: Pinefoot (kidnapped by two-legs) || Backstory: Formerly known as Stonestar, he was the leader of a great Clan. As he grew older, his Clan decided it would be best to have a new leader and banished him. He prayed to StarClan for an answer but he never got anything from them. So he left without any other conflict and found the Clan he just joined currently.

    Quailfeather's Bio

    Name: Quailfeather

    Gender: &#9792

Appearance: Soft ash-gray with yellow speckles on her belly, a black muzzle, and amber eyes.

Personality: Kind, loving, protective, loyal, brave, vicious in battle. She hates hurting others' feelings, and always tries to make others feel better when she can. She is pretty emotional and is fragile emotionaly as well.

Mate/Crush/Kits: Hawktail is her mate, but he died of sickness during the time they were loners. She may never fall in love again, though there's always the chance. No kits quite yet, but she is a pregnant queen, so soon she will!

Likes: Kits, warm sunny days, squirrels, hunting, ThistleClan.

Dislikes: Twolegs, dogs, godmodders, sickness, negativity, haters.

What is next? Really enjoy the Swift River Valley stories. Only wish they were listed in order, so they can be purchased that way. Have to keep referring back to some I have already read, & for some reason my library on my NOOK has disappeared.

    LOVED IT!

Intriguing; mysterious; romantic. Carla Neggers does an excellent job of character development and providing a historical background and plot to her stories. Loved it! LA-TXN

    Can't get enough

Just love Swift River Valley stories. Typical stubborn New England people just wanting to stand on their own feet without someone helping them. Pheobe, her family and friends are prime examples. I know because I grew up in Vermont where you learn very quickly that is the way and family will be there if you need them.

    Not her best work.

Usually a big fan of Carla Neggers. Was a bit disappointed in this book. It seemed to drag. The plot was predictable and slow. I have enjoyed her other books more than this particular one.

Wonderful story! Don't miss this one.

Carla Neggars is an amazing author and she has truly out-done herself with this book. It follows up on Secrets of the Lost Summer, but it stands alone as well. It has mystery, suspense, of course a love story, and more all set in an amazing part of the countrty. Don't miss it!
