This is the 3rd book in the Chronicles of Jonathan Steel series.
This is the 3rd book in the Chronicles of Jonathan Steel series. I did not get a chance to read the first two, but after reading this one I am definitely going back and buying the first two. I am officially hooked. I am not sure how this series escaped my attention, but I am glad it’s on my radar now. Who does not love a book chalked full of demon hunters, demon possessed people, love, chaos, murder, and secrets all wrapped up in a Christian theme blanket? Was this review helpful? This book had it all for me. The characters are well developed, the story is engaging and filled with suspense, each page holds marvelous imagery and best of all there is more to come! A great plot that kept the story moving along that is plausible (depending upon your personal beliefs) and suspenseful right up till the end. Jonathan Steel, demon hunter, is the hero in this book. He risks life and limb to protect those he cares about while fulfilling his destiny to defeat the cult of the Council of Darkness. He leads you on a wonderful journey in search of a ancient chest that holds the power to defeating the eleventh demon and gives the holder control over the Council of Darkness. The book reads almost like a detective novel leaving you trying to look for clues and fit pieces together as you go. I adored the antagonists in the book. Chaos and Vivian is just two of the characters you want to see destroyed. They are both the epitome of evil and very well wrote. There is a great variety of discovery you get to do in this story that keeps your blood pumping and has you flipping through pages as fast as you can read.
I cannot recommend this book enough and cannot wait to get my hands on the first 2. Hopefully I will be all caught up before book 4 hits the shelves. ~Disclaimer~
