The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health by Christopher Vasey

This is a great syllabus for those interested in having a healthy body. If you have not been exposed to the acid/alkaline thesis, now is the time. The author is an N.D. who lives in Switzerland. He is an advocate for health. His verbiage is sophisticated but understandable. I read it in small chunks, took notes, and then reread it again. I continue to keep it at my bedside for review and reminding me that eating alkaline is a very smart thing to do, albeit sometimes challenging. (simply-be)

Finally, an eating life-style that is doable!

I found this book one of the best ones around regarding the acid-alkaline diet. The author explains things very clearly, and unlike the other writers on this topic, he divides foods in THREE categories --- because he makes allowances for people who are especially sensitive to certain foods. He also explains clearly the difference between an acid food, and an acidifying-food. There are certain foods which you think of as alkaline, but they become acidifying inside your body. I started eating as he recommended and slowly and gradually started feeling better, my digestive problems are almost gone, my blood pressure is down, and my arthritis hardly bothers me. Thank you, Dr. Vassey!
