Excellent audiobook!
Primatologist Frans de Waal has written a fantastic book where he discusses the evolutionary origins of empathy in humans and animals and challenges the common assertion that human nature is responsible for our competitive, aggressive and/or antisocial behaviors of today, yet less often are positive traits and behaviors, like cooperation and teamwork, attributed simply to human nature. This book covers far more than biology, primatology, and emotions in its exploration of the evolving human animal by looking to other mammals. My review can't begin to do this (audio)book justice. I plan to give copies of Age of Empathy as gifts this Christmas! :)
