What You Expect From the New Age
As a reader of a great deal of New Age literature, I didn't know what to expect from this book. It turns out to be one of those stereotypical New Age books: it's full of fluff, it attacks our Western "patriarchal" society, and it has a great deal of bitterness towards Christianity, and the Catholic Church in general.
It posits some interesting theories, and makes some for good speculation, but lacks real substance.
As a plus, however, it does give one the potential to see the world in a new and better way. It can make our current situation a little more acute, letting us see how we have damaged the ecosystem. It also offers some unique forms of meditation.
