    One word: WOW!

This is easily one of the best books I have read on the subject of photography. Since boudior photog is a new direction for me, I did a little research. Christa's name came up again and again, I find her work to be incredibly beautiful and inspiring. Christa is a pro all the way. This book is packed with so much useful information and gets right to the heart of the matter. Christa is direct as she shares information, instilling confidence in the reader/photographer. From very first contact with the client to wrapping up their experience, this book addesses it all. She goes over specific questions and how to ask them to bring out the individuality and emotion in every client. I love that Christa shares her most popular posing techniques. She explains how to execute each pose and how to coach your clients and give direction. I have never shot a boudior session in my life and the idea left me feeling more than a little intimidated. Reading this book has given my confidence a boost -I am now feeling more capable and ready to move forward.

Learn the Why behind what the photographer does

Visit Christa Meola's web site and you will see she knows what she is doing. Now read the book and learn the thinking that goes into each shoot. Start with the interview with the Client, the selection of the wardrobe, the make-up, the clothing, the sets, the lighting, the equipment, the poses, the post production, everything. I know that Christa conducts workshops on Boudoir photography, but I suspect that things go by so fast in the workshop you would never pick up all the detail she has in her book.
