I received an arc from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The continuation of our heroine Mairi Tanner and Damen Leventis. It becomes rocky in most of the story line because Damen apparently has a fiancé already and plus he does not believe that Mairi (a.k.a. Ms. Yay) loves him due to his past. If you're read the first series of the story Mairi has a fantasy of marrying a Greek billionaire thanks to her two aunts bedtime stories of Harlequinn.
Mairi is a really sweet heroine and still believes in a Happily Ever After ending despite the situation she is in with Damen. Well, Damen is your typically handsome, arrogant, sexy, and don't forget an alpha male/ Greek billionaire. It's a combination that Mairi cannot resist. Speaking of Damen, I really wanted to hit Damen in the head so he could have a wake up call because of what he does to Mairi. But in the end, they still made. I'm glad that Damen realized how important Mairi is to him despite the consequences.
I'm also glad that Mairi's best friends support her when she wasn't herself.
I just love the reading the perspective of the characters. It was really interesting. I also can't believe that there would be a 3rd book but judging from the ending of book 2, Mairi and especially Damen still have to face the consequences.
Ms. Marian Tee, despite loving these 2 characters, I think I love your secondary characters the most. Truth be told, I'm fangerling more to both Ioniko and Stravos. I actually forgot about Stravos for a bit but I remembered him from the start of the first book. I was like OMG, he lost his chance. Anyways, I'm looking forward to read the rest of the series.

First Marian makes you somewhat tolerate him, love him, and now I want to strangle him. At the beginning I was "aweing" at his change and then it fell off the map.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Mairi is growing up more and more with each book. She knows what will hurt the person she loves and attempts to avoid it. Damen on the other hand doesn't think things through quite yet. Without giving to much away, he believes someone that had hurt Mairi terribly over Mairi herself. At this point I am hopping that Mairi walks in to the sunset with someone else.
And of course there's a twist at the end. If you have read Marian's other works you will recognize the name(s). I am excited about this and maybe possibly a book of this characters own? We will have to hold our breathe and wait and see.
This is a well done book but I will say I do miss the little conversation intros at the beginning of the chapters.

Really good !!!!!!!!!!
I read the first book and could hardly wait for this one to come out. It has a good story that flows with the first book. This story has a wonderful alpha male and a smart female - sparks fly and some tough decisions are made. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. . Can I say, I did not see that one coming! I felt my jaw drop during the big scene. Marian, you naughty woman you, I was prepared for two HOT SIZZLING Greek billionaires but you gave me THREE! (Fangirl swoon) This book was totally worth the wait! The action between Mairi and Damen, was riveting!. Oooh, (fanning my face) and that bathroom scene! One question comes to mind, where can I get one of those sweet, sexy, arrogant Greek billionaires to all my own? Lol I was given ARC by the author for my honest review. Was this review helpful?
