Ok I don't even know where to start with this one. There are book series that you read and you become so involved and invested in them that you have a hard time walking away from the characters once the books are all said and done. That was this series for me. Thank GOD I was off from work the past 3 days because I did nothing but consume every ounce of these books in that time.

Lexi is a likable character. It's so rare to find that in books now. So frequently with so many of the books I've read the lead character just grates on your nerves until all you want to do is bash your head against the wall. Lexi isn't like that. Does she make bad choices? All of the time. But every single time I understood why she made the choice she did and my heart broke for her when it all fell apart. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

This series is the story of her long and troubled relationship with her non-boyfriend Jack. Ah Jack. The ups, downs, ins and outs of their long relationship. How it evolves and how new people enter and change it through the years (Ramsey, oh Ramsey). There were times throughout these books I constantly found myself yelling at my Nook, shaking my head, laughing out loud, crying along with Lexi, or just saying no no no no no. You get invested because these characters are well developed and so are the relationships they form. Much like Lexi I found myself going back and forth between what I thought was the best decision for her because it was never an easy one.

The style in which they're written is great too because it flips back and forth between the present and past allowing you to see the full picture of all that has happened between these people while keeping you on the edge of your seat. It never distracted from the story being told but rather enhanced it. I loved every minute of these books and I fully suggest them. The only downside is the massive book hangover I have from them now that it's over. I can't wait to see what comes from this author next.

    Ok series

I've read a lot of romance books, and this one was just OK.

This author really needs to hire a professional editor to correct all of the grammatical errors. Trying to read a sentence with missing words, redundant words, and fragmented sentences makes it hard for a reader to understand why an editor was thanked in the acknowledgements after each book. I guess the editor ran spell check for misspelled words but didn't actually read the material to ensure each sentence actually had the possessive nouns included or were missing words altogether.

Since this series only cost .99, I guess you get what you pay for.

The author clearly couldn't decide what kind of home Ramsey owned since she called it a town home, a condo, and an apartment. Little things like this should have been picked up by the editor.

If the author would like me to read her books prior to publishing them, I'd be more than happy to do so.
