Ghosts and Ghouls Galore!
In 'The Best Ghost Stories Ever', Christopher Krovatin edits a novel with stories from various authours such as:Algernon Blackwell, W.W. Jacobs, Washington Irving, Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, Jerome K. Jerome, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and Henry James. My favorite story out of theses fantastic selections was Washington Irving's 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.' I loved this story. It tells the story of Ichabod Crane, a simple school teache, who is invited to the party of a beautiful girl who he lusts. At the party people tell the story of the headless horseman. A revolutionary war soldier who lost his head and occasionaly still rises from his grave to hunt for a new head to place on his soldiers. Well, after the party, Ichabod is walking home when he hears horse hooves, and well, i'll let you read and find out the rest of the story. This story is so great, one minute, everything will be calm and mysterious, but then the very next moment you'll jump out of your seat with the thrill of fright. I would recommend this story to young readers who can't stand just some average book, and who crave the feeling for terrifying adventure. I promice, once you start, you'll be hooked the entire story. Me in peticular, I like the part of the book when Ichabod Crane is running from the clutches of the headless horseman. It's terrifying, but at the same time you'll be thrilled with the great sense of adventure. 5 stars, phenominal.
