    Fantastic, as usual!

I've read many of Chandler's stories, and he never disappoints. His writing is incredibly sharp, witty and it's never dull. If you like other authors such as Dashiell Hammett then do yourself the favor of reading some of Chandler's works.

A Great Value for Two Treasures

I'm hardly going to attempt writing a review of any of Raymond Chandler's works. They're already legendary and have been reviewed by people who know what they're writing about. This was a no-brainer purchase that will never be regretted. Now I've got two Chandlers' with me whenever I pack my Nook.

I will add this though: The Nook version has a few glitches. I think one of the stories had an entire page missing (maybe more, it's hard to say) and one or two other odd transitions from one page to another. But it would be hard to blame any of that on Chandler. If you told him his writing would be stored in a Nook, he'd probably try to shorten the story so it would fit easier.

    One of the great ones

I've always believed that Chandler was one of the great prose stylists of the 20th century. Read these two novels and try to disagree with me.
