    Reviled, yet Revered

From legal writing's Golden Era, a contemptible classic. Defying description and impeding the imagination, The Bluebook compels even the illiterate liar (sorry--typo) lawyer into syncophantic submission. On par with Great Expectations, mere words cannot describe its insightful witticisms ("go forth and construe") ("to interplead is human, to demur...devine"), its quaint conundrums ("to quash or not to quash, that is the interlocutory question"), its prophetic wisdom ("a footnote and it's margins are soon parted") ("the grass is always greener on the other side of the prescriptive easement"), yet its ultimate tragedy ("fool me once, shame on you, foot me twice, and you have established obdurate, dilatory and vexatious conduct warranting the imposition of fees and costs") (as you shall sow, so shall you replevin"). Why wait and accrue statutory interest? Order your copy today!

    Law librarianship

As a future law librarian I found the Bluebook so necessary that I decided to buy it so I could use it any time I needed it. The Bluebook is an extremely important resource for all my citation needs.

The Bluebook -- THE indispensable legal citation guide

The Bluebook is the only legal citation guide you'll ever need. It's the one that all lawyers use, and it's the one that law students will be expected to use. As a law student, I have found it an indispensable tool in my legal education. The new edition has some good features as well -- for example, new citation forms for Internet sources.
