    A++!

    I enjoy reading "useless information" books, and this one is by far the best I've ever read.

    If you liked the book, watch the show!

    QI is a comedy quiz show from the BBC hosted by Stephen Fry. If you're a fan of the show, you'll probably know some of these already, but it's still "quite interesting"! (If you don't get this, at least google the show) If you like this book, which everyone must, I can guarantee you'll love the TV series. John Lloyd is a genius for coming up with this book and the show.

    Highly Recommended - You must read this book

    This is a great book to read about facts and our supposed "general knowledge" of mankind. The Book of General Ignorance is a book that I recommend to everyone who enjoys reading about facts and common knowledge. This book proves that the things that we think we know (Magellan - the 1st man to circumnavigated the world, baseball was invented in US, there are 50 States in the U.S, etc), is actually wrong.

    This book will debunk lots of what you know to be true!

    What an interesting book! There are over 240 entries in this small book most of which will surprise the heck out of you. Surely did change and correct plenty of what I 'knew' to be true. Or what I thought was true. Much of this is amusing, some of it odd, some distasteful...yes, a few of them are, but maybe only to me. However, all of it is fascinating. These collected tidbits are like potato chips....you think you'll just read one or two, but it's almost impossible to put this book down. You'll find yourself reading more and more of them. Just wait, bet you can't stop at just one :>) I'm thinking this book would make a great gift for about anyone you know.

    Great and amusing!

    When I borrowed this book from my local library, I was intrigued to see what it was about. The book is laid out well and the authors seem like they would be fun guys to meet. The content includes answers to questions like; Who was the first president of the U.S.?, Who lives in igloos?, How did Nome, Alaska get its name,?, What color is your brain?, and Who discovered penicillin? I am amazed at how much of what I was taught in school is wrong! This book is funny, amusing, interesting, and best of all unique. Just like the sub-title says "Everything you think you know is wrong".
