Why fix something that is not broken?

I have not read this book, but many, many others that the real boxcar athour wrote in the 1900s and LOVE THEM SO MUCH! I was upset to find out another athour tried to write thier own version to male more cash....and while some people may enjoy new versions I appercaite how the orginal athour hangs questions such as thier life before because this helps the reader make thier own picture of thier life and brings imgation to the book. Sure, the cover is cute and the drawings are better but the fact that the orginal books were written a long time ago and are still loved today captures that books will always be loved and "old" books are still imporant. I asked myself this question when I saw the newly written book "would I want my books to be added to and changed when I am dead?" Its almost like they are saying her books are to outdated. I hope the new athour captures the Alden's love for each other, hard work, and helping others but I am sad they have to change a well written bool series that has been loved for years.
