The Bride's Essential Wedding Planner helped make my wedding a success!

Like a lot of other Brides to be, I went to Barnes and Noble, spent hours trying to find 'The perfect Wedding Planner'. I wanted all the information I needed at my fingertips. I am so glad I picked The Bride's Essential Wedding Planner. I knew nothing of planning a wedding. This book is amazing! It has everything you need. In addition to the 3 ring binder which allows you to add contracts extra notes pictures etc. It also has pocket folders, calendar, vendor sections and is packed with information, such as what types of questions to ask your vendors, photograper, florist, dj. When and how to shop for your dress. It gives you timelines even shows you how to address your invitations. I took the book with me to all my appointments added notes, pictures, contracts etc. It was like taking a wedding planner along everywhere I went. I am happy to say my wedding was a great success. I asked the right questions, made the right decisions, and was able to do it all with this wonderful book. Thank you Amy for all the great advice. I have recommended your book to all of my friends.

Amy 'gets it'! The most useful planner available

I've tirelessly browsed through every wedding planner book I could find trying to find one that really includes everything the bride needs, and this book does that better than any other on the market, even though it is less expensive. Not to mention you will feel free to mark it up and write in it as needed, unlike those stuffy, pricey books you're afraid to put a mark in! Amy includes critical tools that most others leave out - like the 'vendor interview tool' - complete with questions to ask vendors and space to record the answers for several different vendors for comparison, and a complete calendar to record all your appointments, etc. You will not find one page, for instance a monthly calendar page, that says 'copy as needed' at the top, like several other planners... Everything is included and with enough pages. The other books might be more 'glossy' and 'slick' but this book is a real workhorse geared to be very useful and helpful, not just a pretty coffee table addition.

Not Worth It

I bought this planner to help me plan my wedding and comparing with my other engaged friends this planner is worthless. It has some useful questions but nothing that you can't find on any basic wedding website. Many other planners come with unique helpful features or additional planning pages. If you want a planner, don't waste your money on this one.

Waste of Money

This wedding planner really is made poorly. It broke after a few months. The binding got unglued or something and there is no way to fix it. The information is a okay but nothing that you can't find online i had to end up buying a new one. Obviously a new brand:)It also did not have very many pockets/Folders which is important in order to keep everything together in one book. I ended up buying the ulimtate wedding planner which i wish i had bought from day one. Don't waste your money.

Great For Gift Giving

As soon as my friend told me she was engaged, since i dont live close to her I got on Barnes and Noble and sent her this book! She was so excited to have something to keep her organized and know where to start first. This turned out to be a great gift. I didnt tell her I just had it sent so it was a great suprise.

Must Have for the Plan it Yourself Bride

This binder was the first thing I purchased after I got engaged. I carry it everywhere I go! It is broken out into different sections.. ie. Ceremony, Reception, Flowers, Photographers.... For me the most usefull tools in this planner have been the budget tracker and the Q&A tips for the vendors. I really love the ability to track and compair the different vendors in each section. And the book lists questions I would have never thought to ask as well as points to consider when making your vendor selections. Each section has a pocket folder which as been very helful for me, as I tend to internet shop quite a bit. So I am able to print the info I like and keep in the the pockets until I need it again.

I have had my book for about 2 months now and I still use it every day.

Extremely informative and helpful!!

This binder is great!! the only thing I would change is that you can't add to it, open the binders. Mine was in great shape but I did see a couple that the covers were torn a bit on so just make a good once over.
The info inside is done in a very clear, extremely thorough, and intelligent way. I am so happy I picked this up.

Very good, informative book

Used this to outline my wedding and it provided a lot of good ideas and was very extensive as to what to ask vendors. I would recommend this for big or small weddings as you can apply whatever you want to the situation. I carried it with me to all my meetings and took notes in it.
I would simply recommend this book to any planning a wedding!

Great Wedding Planner!

This is the third time that I buy this planner. The first time was for myself and it saved my life. Between planning a wedding in NY and commuting between Chicago, Norfolk and NY, it made everything so organized. I also bought it for 2 friends who recently got engaged. It's a great buy!

Good Planner but crappy quality

The planner looks good and informative but the quality is very bad. I got one at the store and it was coming apart, ordered one online and it came apart the moment I opened it. Not too happy overall with the quality.

A reviewer

I bought this wedding planner for a friend and she said it helped her out tremendously. Taking such a large step in life is already stressful enough I didnt want her to be stressed out planning it so this should make it fun for her. I am also getting married so I bought the same one and it saves alot of time trying to remember all that you need to do for the big day. I would highly recommend this planner and it is so worth the money!!

An essential tool for a bride-to-be!

I selected this wedding planner after searching at 3 book stores. I looked at over 35 other planners between all of the stores and this planner was simply the greatest one of them all. It has all the essential tools and guidelines any bride-to-be needs even if you do have a personal wedding consultant. I liked this edition because it is a 3 ring binder which has allowed me to add additional paperwork into the planner. I also liked it because it is divided out by tabs which highlight the most important parts of a bride's planning (i.e. ceremony, reception, flowers, photography, etc.). And in each section, all of the essential information and money-saving tips are provided for you. For example, the tab for the reception gives you worksheets for finding a reception site, interviewing a caterer, and the questions you should ask when you meet with these individuals regarding availability and limitations of that venue or caterer. I would suggest this book to anyone who desires to be organized for their big day. It even has a very detailed worksheet that is useful for budgetting. Go out and get this planner today or order it online. Its well worth the price.

nice

Does this have pages that you can write on??

Perfect for a organized Bride!

My mom purchased another planner for me, but I did not like it since I could not add photos, upcoming contracts, resources, etc.
So I went to B&N and found this one, I love the 3 ring binder and the ability to add my contracts, ideas, photos of dresses, receipts, pockets for invitation samples, plastic page for business cards. I have even used it for keeping copies of the receipts from our honeymoon.
After 12 months of carting the binder everywhere and it was about to explode, it held up very well. It got heavy so it usually carried it around in a tote along with my bridal magazines.
I received alot of compliments from vendors I dealt with that it was one of the nicest they've seen!

Thank God my colleague gave me this planner!

This planner is by far the most fabulous tool anyone could have given me upon my engagement. I LOVE IT!! The 3 ring binder aspect is perfect because I was able to 3-hole punch my contracts for the church, reception DJ etc. and place them directly in it. It has enabled me to keep EVERYTHING in on place and not lose anything. It has kept me on my timeline and when I am thinking about something pertaining to Either the attire, the church or whatever, I can go right to that tab. I have been anticipating my wedding coordinator's every question and direction. I am 3 steps ahead of her. I can't wait to purchase it for someone else. LOVE IT!!!

Great for Second Wedding Planning

This is my second wedding and I wish I had this book for my first one!! This book is great and I love the ' The Money Saving Hints' , they're wonderful!!!

Gotta Have It

I have just began to plan my wedding. And let me tell you just how overwhelmed I was before I bought this planner. I had no idea where to start. Now I have such and understanding and confidence about planning my wedding than I ever did before. Thank you Amy!
