A VERY ENJOYABLE BOOK
After enjoying the first book by Stephen, we got right into the second one. Although it had the same characters, and it continued where the first book left off, it was quite different. This one had lots of history lessons touching on things over the past 50 years. Although there wasn't as much with the kids in this book, it was a good story too.Was this review helpful? We look forward to more books by Mr. Keeney.

I Also Recommend:
This is a prequel-sequel to his first hit book, "Spencer the Adventurer and the Emerald City". Keeney takes us from Spencer's backyard across the ocean this time. His extensive use of traveling makes learning geography for kids interesting.
I found this sequel interesting because Stephen Keeney takes into account World War II on a level for children to understand. Sadly, most people who fought in that war are no longer here to tell their stories. I especially liked the way Stephen ends this book. He uses a very important group in our society to end on a heart warming note with a beautiful message. Thank you again, Stephen Keeney! Keep the books coming. Was this review helpful?
