I found this book to be a very good source of information concerning the Chesapeake Campaigns during the War of 1812 - possibly the most desperate for the young Republic. The only drawback I would have about this volume is its downplaying atrocities carried by His Majesty's forces against the civil population - often at the behest of their commanding officers. Was this review helpful?
