What happened along the whole length of the river--from source south of Banff, Alberta, to ocean near Astoria, Oregon.
One of the few remaining books about the entire length of the Columbia River issued at the time of the bicentennial of Gray's discovery of the river. Especially unusual because it tells about the 1/3 of the river that is in Canada. Lively reading about the people, steamboats, dam builders, explorers of the river. A glimpse into the history of the Northwest, including Hudson's Bay activities. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
