Bring this book to your florist ...
I design wedding flowers professionally and was looking for new ideas for a friends wedding. This book is great. It has lots of ideas and provides detailed explanations. But, a word of caution, this is not for the novice. The terms used and techniques described are not simple. In some cases, require a lot of 'man power.' For example, the garlands shown are stunning. But from experience, to make them requires lots of space and at least 2-3 people to create them and 3-4 to install. Also, the designs used have subtle lines that are difficult to mimic without experience. Additionally, while the flowers used are modestly priced, the designs are labor intensive. To be blunt, they final products will not be inexpensive. [An FYI, an alternative to fresh garlands, is to buy silk ones and intertwine them. The look is similar.]
