    The Complete Waste of Manilow

As a fan and supporter of his music and work as as showman, I can't help but wonder what the point is of this re-issue. When I bought the original release while I was in college in 1992, it was amazing. I'd give it the 5 star without a problem. Normally on a re-issue, an artist adds material and edits like an author. That is not what is being done here. You can include more than 60 minutes of program on a DVD, and you also can do the same with a CD. It has been done. I will not go out and buy this useless product that Mr. Manilow re-issues. It seems that's all he does today is re-issue and show us "Copacabana" in a spaghetti dance mix. By the way, the original boxed set was never out of print and only a few years ago was certified Gold. If you bought more than one copy of the original, good! Keep it. I'm sure the VHS tape works well. If you feel the absolute need to buy this album, (This begs the question of re-issuing until we're sick to our stomachs of the stale bread served with spaghetti.) find a used copy that's at least $5-10. I really think as a fan, he and his little clown posse must take me for a fool. I'm not. I've "sent" in the clowns. They're here. I'm looking at them. Nice try. I think I hear "Sweet Caroline" and (I) "don't seem so lonely."
