More of an Index Than a Complete Guide
I guess expecting any depth in a 250 page book was my mistake. While many of the workflow issues and practices are simply mentioned in a 'two page' format. There is minimal or no depth to the descriptive material, and examples are not labeled well so as to link the text to the frame. Descriptions of practices are abruptly terminated, as if simply mentioning the practice is sufficient.
From the images, it is apparent that Freeman is a talented photographer, but his ability to communicate concepts verbally is suspect. A better title for this book would be 'An Index of Black & White Digital Photography Workflow'.
