    It's a man's book too.

I just purchased and read the Convent and the Rose and am very glad I did. While I am not much on plain romance, I was fascinated with the cross and the cover of this book. I purchased it and to my surprise, it was different. Nothing dull about this book. The characters were great, entertaining and the role of Montana was well done. I enjoyed it and because of all the different angles, the end was a surprise and not typical of this type of novel. It is cleverly done by the author and has a little bit of something for everyone. Five stars for this one. Ralph Hamblin, Houston, Tx.

    Convent and the Rose

I just finished reading the Convent and the Rose and I had a hard time putting it down. The description of the landscape, the people are excellent. I felt like I was there in that period. The dialogue is excellent and very well done. I had no problem following the Chinese, Irish and Mexican dialogue. The characters just seem to come alive. Excellent story line. The author leaves just enough to make one want to read more and find the answers. Just when you think you have them, then there are more twists and turns. Although Montana was an outlaw, her heart would not let him go. They both had secrets and were internally conflicted as to what they would reveal and when would be the time to do it. The supporting characters are strong and vital to keep the fire of thier love alive even when it seemed ready to die. The story is very unpredictable until the very end. It is a geat read for both male and female audiences.
