A pocket version of Desiring God
While this book is small, it packs the same punch all of us Piper fans have been enjoying all along. This book is basically a distillation of Piper's larger work, Desiring God. If you have a bad case of biblophobia and a book over 100 pages makes your knees wobble, start of with this gem. While certainly not exhaustive, this book gives the reader a taste of that wonderful life called Christian Hedonism. Piper expounds with clarity what this doctrine actually means and gives four areas of life to show its application: worship, marriage, money, and missions. If you have never had the pleasure of reading a Piper work, I urge you PLEASE pick up this book. When you are finished, the only thing you will regret is that you did not read it sooner.
