The Best One Yet!
This is my favorite so far! Secrets, two worlds combined in one, doorways, love, family, friendship, extinction risk. Just read it and find out. It isn't challenging to where one is ready to just put it aside and give up, it's got good vocabulary and excelent descriptions. I am ready for the next one! The plot and the difference between the world we know and the world that Roland of Gilead has sucked Susannah, and Eddie into is really starting to seem so different I would never been able to think of it in my dizziest dreams but now I see this world as the beautiful forest and prarie everytime I close my eyes.

I doubt that anyone that reads it will be disappointed. Darn school, if I didn't have school I would have finished it in a few days rather than a week and a half. -
Book Three of Seven in the series
Best to read the first two books in this series of seven books to get the feel of want being told on the way to the Dark Tower. This one leaves off were book to ends. A great read it's Mr. King being Mr. King

Josh's Review of the WasteLands
The Wastelands is the third book in the seven part Dark Tower series. The book takes place in a couple of places like, New York, and the city of Lud. It is about a band of travelers, or a Ka- Tet trying to reach the Dark Tower. THere are four people in the group. Two from New York named Jake and Eddie. Roland from Giled, who is also the main character of the book. And Susanna.

The band of travelers will run into a few problems along the way. A man with a yellow scarf name Gasher. And a train named Blaine who wants to meet some interesting people, and hear riddles, but wont take Roland's Ka-Tet across the WasteLands.
This book is defineitly a fantasy book. ANd overall I would give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. The reason I like the book is because Stepehn King does a good job of foreshadowing and introducing characters. Also, he does a great job of keeping interested for all 500 pages. -

Awesome Series
Dark Tower is so much more than I expected and it spans a writers life time. Stephen King wrote the first book when he was 19! I found the first book to be the best but overall the series is excellent and gives the reader a lot to think about. More than just a thrilling scifi ride, it has a lot to do with humanity and politics.

If you love King, you are going to love this series...
I am a King fan who decided to buy the entire Dark Tower series and save some time to delve deeply into it and I am loving every page. Oh, Stephen, what you do to us mere mortals when you drag us into your worlds! May you never stop writing. The Dark Tower is easily your best works.

Welcome back Jake.
I picked up The Gunslinger to read on the plane when I took my family to Disney World, I read the series straight through. The Waste Lands is another great volume in the DT series. A great deal of character development takes place in this installment, Eddie becomes a likable guy rather than an ex-junkie, Jake is back say thankee, and Roland show some hint of being human after all. Oh and we can¿t forget Blaine, (Blaine¿s a pain and that¿s the truth). The Waste Lands is a fitting continuation of the DT series.

The Mind Set
King is at his best in these novles. I read the gunslinger and immedietly went to my local Barnes and Noble and bought the rest of the series on the spot. I went home and read them all in one sitting. You cannot help but to be drawn into these books. After finishing these spectacular tales i thought i was actaully in the book and thought that the gunslingers world was my own. The finale is somewhat down trodden but a spectaculer series non the less. I recommend them all. King's use of repitition can be somewhat annoying but he can still surprise you.

The Real Beginning of the Series
In my opinion, this is where the series truly begins. Consider everything up to here a dramatis personae, if I spelled that correctly. The characters and their lives are covertly introduced under the guise of the main storyline and their personalities are built up, torn down, and what is probably the single most jarring event in the book takes place near the end of it and drives you to read the next book: The appearance of a certian man with the initials R.F. Fans of King will know who this is immediately. I also personally like these paperback releases: They've cut down the cost of the book without sacrificing the story, so if you're the kind of person that doesnt care about an attractice cover (which I find these plenty attractive anyway), I'd stick with the eight dollar paperbacks. Advice: Do not start this series from any book but the first, The Gunslinger. Also, do not expect to start this series and not finish it, for that path leads to madness.

Thriller
In this book, Susahana, Eddie, Roland, and Jake go continue their journy from the last book. Roland's mind is connected to Jake's somehow and ends up leading Jake to a door to another demesion. The demension that he died in last time. The three gunslingers and Jake fight evil and fight the alternating time zones to find the 'Dark Tower' that haunts their dreams and contols their minds. This book is increadibly hard to put down and extremley good. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes Stephen King and books that consists of series and thrilling events with twists and turns, making you just zone into the book like your there.

Stephen King At His Best
I hated to read before this series came along, but now I love reading and can¿t put one of King¿s books down. This is by far one of his best novels and shows how really imaginative and creative he is. I can not wait until the final book in this series comes out. One more thing, King is the MAN!
