I'd recommend this book
I really enjoyed this book. Mr Bishop did a great job with the details. There was a couple of things that I felt Mr Bishop left out, such as the anonymous tip that the MPD received from a person on the street that pointed them in the direction of the Surratt Boardinghouse. I know he really didn't touch on the conspirators and how they were caught although Mr Bishop gave an update on all of the major players at the end.Was this review helpful? Overall, a very good read on the topic of Lincoln's assassination.

We all know that Lincoln was shot by John Booth, but Jim Bishop created a story concerning the 48 hours before Lincoln's death. The day Lincoln was shot creates a very vivid, detailed story using bits and pieces of information regarding this topic. The book is very creative. Washngton D.C in you mind by explaining where all the buildings were at. He makes the characters life like. The book is well written, and makes you think you were right there. There are a couple of reasons why this book didn't recieve 5 stars. They are the book moved too slow, and the book is kind of outdated, since it was written in 1955.Was this review helpful?
