Super Dupper
The Deer Park was not at all what I expected, pleasantly surprised, yet I am biased to Mailer... He writes good and some of my friends have expressed their distaste... The novel is simply about a location in the deserk inhabited by the Hollywood elite in the communist days of 1950's. The style was practically indentical to Babary Shore which I also loved... There is little to say against Mailer if you are like me. A fan. I highly recommend this work of art.

Hollywood Exposed
From the very first written word to the final I could not put this book down. Mr. Mailer brings alive some of the most disgusting, disfunctional characters and yet turns them into the most intriguing characters I have ever met it my life. It takes the commonly used, mis-treated, and hard to explain word "Love" and proceeds to tear it apart, examine it, then leave it for the crows that must live outside of L.A. I am a fan of Norman Mailer's and this novel shows why.
