Tucker and Susan, while traveling the coast of North Carolina, get involved in a local murder case to help the victim's wife. What appears to be a straightforward case turns out to have multiple layers of intrigue as they dig into the events leading up to the murder. Their own involvement turns dangerous as they work the case but this strengthens their resolve to identify the killer and stop the carnage. Their relationship grows stronger as they work together to the conclusion of the case.
